SonyVPL-CS1 Projector

Portable, Powerful Presentations

Sony VPL-CS1 is a lot of projector in a very small package. It weighs only 2.9 kilograms and has the footprint of B5 notebook paper - the whole thing, with its protective front cover closed, is only 277 by 70 by 214mm (10.9 by 2.8 by 8.4 inches).

But the VPL-CS1 has the feature set of much larger, and more expensive, projectors of not very long ago. 800 by 600 pixel resolution, 600 ANSI lumen brightness, zoom lens, computer RGB input in a variety of resolutions, Y/C and composite video input, stereo sound, and three control options - buttons on the projector itself, an infra-red remote control, and USB control from a Windows 98 computer (sorry, Mac users). And comes with a very natty magnesium alloy body, to boot.

Ultra-compact and extremely lightweight

Thanks to newly developed 0.7-inch LCD panels and a unique design, the Sony VPL-CS1 is ultra-compact and weighs approx. 2.9 kg (6.4 lbs.). What’s more, this projector comes with a carrying case and has an easy-to-grip handle and detachable strap that allow you to take it anywhere.

600 ANSI lumens brightness

Despite its compact dimensions, the VPL-CS1 incorporates advanced Sony technologies that provide an impressive 600 ANSI lumens of brightness. A new 120 W UHP lamp and brighter lens, together with Sony’s unique 0.7-inch SVGA LCD panels and optical unit produce industry-leading levels of image clarity

Quiet operation

Thanks to its new cooling structure, the projector operates with a low noise level. The use of sapphire glass on the polarizer dramatically reduces heat buildup, making only two internal fans necessary.

Exquisite form, handy function

The sleek front hood not only protects the lens from damage but also serves as the projector’s front
stand when flipped open. The rear stand extends simultaneously when the front hood is opened.
