HDTV Panel
The Sanyo PLV-Z2 has a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, to support the US HDTV standard for high definition television.
IRIS Function
Another highlight with this projector is the integrated iris diaphragm. This feature allows you to increase the contrast even further, improving the depth of focus of the projection.
Polarized Beam Splitter (PBS) Optical System
This technology helps assure a high uniformity rate and a beam twice that of conventional projectors. It combines all of the S-wave light emitted from the PLV-Z2 lamp with the P-wave light. The result is a super bright image with nearly the same brightness from side to side and top to bottom.
Aperture / Contrast Adjustment
An adjustable lens aperture lever lets you select either optimum brightness or optimum contrast - depending upon the best option for the particular viewing environment.
3D-AUCC
A technology that was previously found in high-end projectors.
The 3D-AUCC (Automatic Uniformity Correction Controller) system is used for fine tuning the image signal and optimizing color reproduction in sensitive areas, such as transitions and skin tones.
Designed for Progressive
By connecting a source (DVD player, line doubler, game console) with a progressive scan signal, you can improve the image even further, because the PLV-Z2 image is transferred as a complete image instead of using the interlace method commonly used on TV displays. The results speak for themselves. Significantly better detail rendition, steadiness and sharpness.
