Projector Lamp
The VT660 is a well-engineered projector, with feet that let you easily adjust the image position. At 6.6 pounds, it’s the second heaviest model we reviewed, though even the heaviest is still portable. The LCD engine had no apparent pixel defects, though the convergence was off by almost one pixel in the lower-right quadrantnot a significant problem.

Direct Keys
The Direct Keys for Video, S-Video, and RGB let users switch between sources with the touch of a button and are available on the operation panel on the top of the equipment. The ports for the respective image sources, including voice input, are on the rear panel. Their positions correspond to the keys on the control panel.
The attached cables come in different colours and match the corresponding port, so that the proper cable can easily be identified and connected to the proper port.
Automatic Vertical Keystone correction
In addition to digitally correcting distorted images due to angled projection, the Automatic Vertical Keystone Correction (up to +/- 30degrees) functions automatically by sensing the inclination of the equipment with the builtin gravity sensor.
Colour Management System
The Colour Correction function corrects image colours according to the image source, such as presentations or movies. The optimum colour tone for the projected images can also be selected. The VT projectors support the white balance function, which provides optimum colour reproducibility by adjusting the white/black levels of input signals, and the Gamma Correction (for gradation reproducibility) feature provides sharp, clear images even in the dark sections. The adjusted values can be saved in memory on the equipment.
Wireless Remote Control Unit with Mouse Control Function
The convenient wireless remote is available on all NEC projectors. For the VT660, the latest model of NEC’s advanced Wireless Remote is capable of controlling mouse operations on the connected PC, such as moving the cursor or clicking the left / right buttons.
