Mitsubishi is the first projector manufacturer to use the new BrilliantColour™ technology, which uses a new colour-processing algorithm and system level enhancements for more brightness and truer, more vibrant colours. It also allows a greater than 50 percent increase in mid-tone images-common in video and natural scenes - so the XD490U produces realistic colour images in both business and home projection settings.
Because BrilliantColour™ offers greater flexibility in colour processing, customers can expand the colour palette beyond red, green and blue to include yellow, white, magenta and cyan.
Other features include a quiet operation, Real Motion Picture-in-Picture, Horizontal and Vertical Keystone Correction, Virtual Lens Shift, multiple input terminals, Password Security lock and wall colour support which allows you to project high quality images onto coloured walls. Further to this the XD460U has a filter-free design, and comes equipped with a 5,000 hour* lamp (in eco mode) for ultra low operating costs, whilst its compact packaging and light weight (only 2.9 kg) mean excellent portability and make it suitable for use virtually anywhere.
