Native WXGA resolution and 16:10 widescreen view
The LV-8385 provides native WXGA (1280 x 800 pixels) resolution for users demanding high performance and images rich in clarity and detail. With the capacity to display in a widescreen aspect ratio of 16:10, this projector is fully compatible with widescreen PCs.
High brightness and 450:1 contrast ratio
LV8385’s ultra-bright 3500lumens images can cut through even in well-lit conditions. The projector’s 450:1 contrast ratio ensures that colours appear vivid and deep blacks are faithfully displayed.
Ultra-quiet performance
To prevent distractions during a presentation the projector has a Quiet Mode that, during operation, reduces operating noise to just 29dBA
Wide-angle zoom lens
The versatility of the LV 8385 is demonstrated by the capability of its wide-angle 1.2x zoom lens, which can produce large images at relatively close distances to the projection screen. This ability to deliver over short throw distances means the projector can create a 100” diagonal (215 x 135 cm) image from just 2.9 metres
Auto Keystone Correction
With the LV-8300’s Auto Keystone Correction, image geometry is automatically corrected to compensate for any tilt of the projector, up to a maximum of +/- 30 degrees. Further image correction is possible with Screen Colour Compensation: a range of nine options, including Whiteboard and Greenboard modes, that help to correct unnatural colour caused by the base colour of the projection surface.
Powerful in-built audio
The built-in speaker on the LV-8385 has a 7W RMS output that is capable of providing sufficient volume for most meeting room situations. There is also a line-out terminal should further amplification be required.
Improved ease of use
Enhanced functionality on the projector includes a lens cover that prevents dust from entering the unit. Ergonomically designed, the built-in carrying handle is comfortable and practical. Replacing the lamp is an easy task, thanks to a convenient opening on the top of the unit, making it simple to remove the lamp even when the projector is ceiling mounted
Connectivity options
For control and monitoring over a network, Canon has added an RJ-45 port to the LV8385. An HDCP-enabled DVI terminal enables sharp reproduction of images from digital sources
